I’ll admit it. Lately I started feeling sorry for myself. Maybe it’s the cold weather and the clouds rolling in. Maybe it’s the holidays coming up faster than I’m ready. Maybe I’m just plain tired. Whatever the reason, today I had to stop. I mean—STOP!
Today I wandered down the stairs and grabbed a bowl from the cabinet for the morning cereal ritual. And as I glanced out the windows to the woods behind our house, it hit. The sight stopped me dead in my tracks. Red, orange, yellow—brilliant hues splattered what used to be deep shades of green. It was as if someone threw cans of paint in the air and coated the green foliage in Fall.
And it made me stop. I mean—STOP. And I thought to myself, “When did this happen?” Was it while I was in an airplane? While I was sleeping? While I spent 18 hours in front of the computer in my office? At that moment I realized what I had been missing. Life.
So I resolved myself at that point to make each moment count. And I began to take stock of my blessings. And guess what was at the top of the list? YOU. YOU are the biggest blessing I could ask for. Without your support, encouragement, business and (sometimes) butt-kicking, I would not be able to do half the things I accomplish each day.
It is all thanks to YOU.
Today’s post is dedicated to YOU—my clients, friends, vendors, team and those I haven’t had the amazing pleasure of meeting yet, but will soon. Thank YOU.
Now have a Happy Thanksgiving (stateside), hang out with your family and friends this weekend, and make every moment count!
